Did you watch the Liberal leadership debate?
Lots was discussed – including Trump, retaliatory tariffs, Poilievre, Trump, Trudeau’s record, and Trump some more.
(Chrystia Freeland weirdly implied that Canada should be forming alliances with nuclear powers against the US, which is troubling…)
What was more interesting, though, is what was NOT discussed.
Crime and bail reform.
Immigration and our border.
The fentanyl crisis.
Chinese election interference.
You know, the issues that actually affect Canadian families, and the integrity of our democracy.
The Liberal candidates stayed FAR AWAY from those issues!
And it’s not hard to understand why.
They’re all tied to the Trudeau legacy, which created or majorly exacerbated all of those issues.
The moderator – a former CBC national news anchor – made sure that those important issues didn’t come up.
One thing is crystal clear: this debate would have looked much differently if independent media was allowed to ask some questions!
But unfortunately, independent media were denied access.
